National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship – Full scholarship and stipend for doctoral study in engineering and the sciences.

George Mitchell Scholarship – Full scholarship and stipend for 12 American students to spend a year abroad at a university in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland. The scholarship is organized by the US-Ireland Alliance.
